The Holbrook line branches out from Culcairn on the Main Southern Line. Holbrook has been known by a number of names over the years - Friday Mount, Camden Forest, Ten Mile Creek and Germanton to name a few. The locals didn't particularly like the name Germanton, given the war in Europe at the time, so the name was changed to Holbrook after Submarine Commander Norman Douglas Holbrook. The railway reached Holbrook in 1902, closing in 1975.
