The Rookwood Cemetary line branches out from Lidcombe on the Main Western Line. It is no longer in use and there are very few remains within the Cemetary. There were 4 stations within Rookwood, named No 1 Mortuary, No 2 Mortuary, etc. Part of No 1 Mortuary has been restored. The track leading up to the buffer stops near Lidcombe was part of the Rookwood line, but it is now used occasionally as a storage siding for CityRail trains. There also used to be platform for Rookwood on the main line between Lidcombe and Flemington, but it no longer remains. Funeral trains used to run from Mortuary (near Sydney Terminal) to Rookwood.
